Overview
UCSmile is a dental tourism platform that connects international patients with JCI-standard dental clinics in Vietnam, backed by local concierge support. The site offers cross-country treatment price comparison and an online booking flow. I was the technical lead on this project. In the early stage the team was just the PO and me, and although a junior developer joined later, most of the system from backend to frontend was built by me.
Key contributions
- Served as technical lead, owning the architecture and building most of the system from backend to frontend.
- Built an AI agent combining RAG and tool routing to retrieve FAQs and answer patient questions.
- Automated booking requests through a custom booking workflow orchestrated by the agent.
- Developed the frontend with Next.js and TailwindCSS, including the treatment price comparison tool and the online booking flow.
